1. essential (necessary/optional): Buying a car, 20 years ago air-bag system was optial, but now it is necessary. 20 YEARS AGO AIR-BAG SYSTEMS IN VEHICLES WAS OPTIONAL, BUT THESE IT IS VERY NECESSARY.

2. skip (pass/face): A coward pass the challenge, but a brave man face on it. I TOLD THE CHILD TO STOP SKIPPING, AND TO STAND STILL. 

3. sometimes (occasionally/never): Both I and my wife are vegetarian. My wife never eats meat, but I make an exception occasionally. I OCCASIONALLY EAT MEAT, BUT MY WIFE NEVER EATS IT!
