There are two kinds of police officers in Korea: a uniformed policeman and a plain-clothes policeman.
We can easily see a uniformed policeman on the street, or a traffic policeman.
Policemen always wear a black hat and pants with white shirts and black boots.
In winter, they wear light grey jumper and put on white gloves.
Around their waist, they have a utility belt, walkie-talkie, a signal short bar and so on.
I don’t know their rank system well, but I heard that their badge, patch, and insignia worn on the hat, chest, and shoulders indicate their rank.
Police officers help  keep public order in our society.
