내용 | Based on oo’s platform, I would like to become a guide of Korean products for the global markets. I have experienced the big distribution market of a major corporation ‘Shinsegae Group.’ I have felt limited environments and markets even for remarkable competitive products. There were a number of hidden gems that I found by working as a buyer. I believe if there is a guide who lead customers to these companies, potential products for global markets pour out. One of the significant abilities as a buyer is to identify the market flows. I was able to recognize quickly these flows due to a good relationship with our business partners. When I first became a nuts buyer, the supply system of nut products was composed of several companies. I determined to change this structure because I got some hints by meeting with our partners. I realized that nuts importing channels have been stabilized and many big companies have settled down. Thus, it was not necessary to manage operate many companies. I analyzed unit prices according to supply methods. Also, I visited partner factories in person to check all the processes. Based on my analysis, I re-established a supply chain of nut products. Analyzing market, negotiating, and building trust with partners are key capabilities for Amazon Global Selling business. I have diverse experiences of strengthening these skills. Furthermore, working experiences as a buyer enable me to understand and communicate better with Korean retail agents. I would like to play a role as a bridge, so that many competitive products of Korea can successfully enter the global market. Thus, I believe I am the one who is qualified for this position. One company that I met had a special technique of manufacturing mixed nuts, considering different moisture content of each variety of nuts. Even though this company had a groundbreaking technique, it could not launch any products. This is because it did not fit in larger companies’ distribution chains. I believe if there is a guide who can lead customers to these companies, potential products for global markets pour out. One of the most significant abilities a buyer should possess is the ability to identify the market trends. I was able to quickly recognize these trends due to a good relationship with our business partners. When I first became a nuts buyer, the supply system of nut products was composed of several companies. I was determined to change this structure because I got some hints by meeting with our partners. I realized that nut importing channels have been stabilized and many big companies have settled down. Thus, it was not necessary to manage operations of many companies. In order to complete the re-establishment project, negotiating and persuading were of the upmost importance. It was difficult dealing with skeptical seniors and soothing partner companies, which could be at a disadvantage under a new supply system. Despite the difficulty, I persisted, in order for seniors and partner companies to understand the new supply chain management and to maintain our existing relationships. Building and maintaining trust was very important before this new endeavor could be taken on. Ultimately, these positive relationships with our business partners not only gave me a valuable insight, but also helped me accomplish the project. As a result of these activities, I was able to save about 350,000,000 won per year and there have been no quality issues, even presently. Moreover, my project was selected as an innovative case for my company’s growth and I received a large accolade for my achievement. Analyzing market, negotiating, and building trust with partners are key capabilities for the Amazon Global Selling business. I have diverse experiences in strengthening these skills. Furthermore, my work experiences as a buyer enabled me to understand and communicate better with Korean retail agents.
