What is the Ghost Festival?

Just as Halloween is in the West, there is a ‘The Ghost Festival’ held in honor of the ancestors in the East.

This special time called Ghost Festival, may seem similar to Halloween as it’s a festival about ghosts. But in fact, East Asian people believe that during this month the gates of the afterlife open and troubled ghosts wander around the streets of the living.
